Nancy Lane, Ph.D.
Senior Vice President and President, Massachusetts Market
As President of the ValueOptions Massachusetts Market, Dr. Lane is responsible for the direction and operation of the Massachusetts Behavioral Health Partnership (MBHP), the statewide Medicaid behavioral health and integrated care contract for the Primary Care Clinician (PCC) Plan, and the Medicaid behavioral health partnership with Health New England, a regional managed care organization serving Western Massachusetts In this position, she has worked extensively with state agencies, providers, consumers and advocates in implementing new services and programs. In 2011, she led MBHP’s efforts to successfully win a Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Innovation grant, which funded the development and testing of a program that included a new type of recovery peer navigator and the use of incentives in treating addiction.
Prior to her joining MBHP in 1997 as its Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Lane served in leadership positions for several managed care organizations, including CNR Health and American Psych Management (a predecessor firm to ValueOptions). Before entering the managed care industry, she focused her efforts on deinstitutionalization and community development for St. Elizabeths Hospital in Washington, D.C. and the American Psychological Association.
Dr. Lane received her Ph.D. and M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Rutgers University and her B.A. from Macalester College. She is licensed to practice psychology in District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia and Wisconsin.
